Welcome to the E-Databar

General rules:

Participants in courses, where reservations have been made in advance, have priority. Reservations and general rules for good conduct are posted on the bulletin boards and on the web. Eating, smoking and drinking is not allowed in databars. The doors to E-bar have to be kept closed for security reasons. The E-databar is open 24 hours a day. Students can use their “Student ID Card” to gain access using the magnetic card reader by the doors. Guests can obtain a temporary permission to enter and use the Computer Lab (“guest card”). Teachers also need a guest card from the databar responsible.

Workstation overview:

The E-bar consist of 98 PC workstations, all of which are configured as Linux/Windows XP dualboot machines. Additionaly two linux servers are available for remote public use.
